Main Street Business Summit Happening September 26th!

Beacon's Main Street Summit will be taking place on Tuesday, September 26th from 6:30-9:30 PM at 291 Main Street, Beacon.  This is an opportunity for businesses to come together to connect and support each other.  

This evening will give a chance for Main Street Beacon business owners to connect and discuss common issues that business owners are experiencing.  There will be talk about growth, how they are handling change and what they are looking for not only from their city but also each other.  City leaders will also be present to address some of the concerns and issues that business owners are experiencing.

The night will begin with a panel discussion between business owners and city leaders with active audience participation.  Some of the topics to be discussed are: Institutional support (BeaconArts/Chamber/City of Beacon) — how can they help?  City infrastructure (parking, trolley/shuttle service, etc.).  Tourism (promoting Beacon).   The impact of popup shops and city events (parades, festivals, etc.).  Second Saturday.  Gentrification, rents and landlords.
