Beacon Free Loop
The Beacon Free Loop bus route provides easy access to locals and visitors who want to travel from the Beacon train station and Dia:Beacon up to Main Street or get a lift to the Mount Beacon trailhead for a hike.
If you want to ride the bus just flag it down anywhere you see it and hop on. It’s a great way to get around town.

Transit & Buses In Beacon
Dutchess County has a bus that meets northbound trains at the Beacon Train Station. The bus stops at Dia:Beacon, then it proceeds along Main Street and then to the trailheads at Mount Beacon. It repeats this route every 20 minutes or so. Currently the fare for each ride is $1.75 but Dutchess County will be enabling an all-day ticket within the next few months. This service is for Mondays – Saturdays. On Sundays the Cold Spring Trolley travels to Beacon providing local Main Street shuttle service and connecting service between Beacon and Cold Spring.
